Warcraft 4 nonofficially confirmed by Blizzard
Within the freshest Starcraft 2 panel from BlizzCon 2008 Blizzard proclaims, that Starcraft 2 will be expanded into a trilogy. Furthermore Blizzard verifies, that Warcraft 4 will be released with the same principle.
Blizzard Co-founder Frank Pearce on videogaming247.com
“If there’s a team that’s passionate about doing another WarCraft RTS, then that’s definitely something we would consider,”
“It’s nothing that we’re working on right now,”
“We have development teams working on Wrath of the Lich King, StarCraft II, Diablo III, and when those teams are all off the projects they’re working on, they’ll be intimately involved in the the discussions about what’s next.”

YEAH! i love this game way too much than is normal, if they bring out warcraft 4 it will be amazing
if i was old enough i would totally go to blizzard and join their developement team
u know what.. im pretty tired of morpg’s.. c’mon. i think some of us are tired of it.. can we just have another great RTS? warcraft IV.. that sounds nice. u know finally EA got command and conquer red alert 3!!!… at least compete with them and get a warcraft IV going. It’s actually due in the making.. with new OS’s every 2-3 years coming out.. WC 3 won’t be able to hand the OS’s…u know what i think…as new ideas for the game.. let u build more troops.. i hate that they always have a limit.. well.. how bout give u more food to make more troops? that’s always been a issue.. since u build advanced units costs more foods.. well we need the ability to make more units…..
Hi.
I’m quite a big fan of Warcraft 3 and i havn’t been able to play WoW seeing that i wouldn’t have the money to pay monthly. I was gonna mail blizzard but i found this website. I went here because i found out about Warcraft 4 on youtube. I heard that blizzard was gonna call it, Warcraft 4 The regenisis. I also heard that there is also a new race. The ogres. If this is truepls comment on this
I think it would be a good business decision Blizzard to go for WC4. People are still playing the game, and there’s so much nostalgia around it, it would most definitely be a hit.
Flip, I’m still playing WC3.
Come on Blizzard, make it happen.
Anyone that can’t see that warcraft 4 would be a hit is a fool. It’s almost as if everythings been building up to this if you ask me. We followed to plot to some of the best characters through the rts and that gave the chance for great character development and some amazing battles. I just don’t think anyone will be content to see arthas killed by some teen alone in his basement rather than some brave campaign if ya get me? I digress, the denoument of this epic saga should be a groundbreaking strategy game for the books, no pressure blizzard. Peace out folks, as many new races as possible and squads instead of individual units is the way forward! much love xXx Jarron
if blizzard doesnt bring out a warcraft 4 than i will get soo pissed and wen im older i will literally go to america and go to blizzard and tell them off lol ps arthas should get killed by illiden in his com bak if soto happen
just to recall on that an ogre army would be kinda gay whoever said that they might be the new race this espcially to blizzard to be honest me at first never liked warcraft never even new about it but i went overseas and my cuz has number 1 which i thought was soo cool at the time so wen i cam bak to australia first thing i did was get number 2 and expansion and then waited for 3 and expansion and now blizzard would really ruin the game if not for a warcraft 4
his suggestion get som of old characters from warcraft 2 lik korgath bladefis, dentarg that fckin death knight guy gorefiend and for god saks wat happened to deathwing he was so cool and strong by the way none of these guys were killed in warcraft 2 so wat happen to them
ps once again illiden kiks arthases ass anytime anywere anyday lol
this is for blizzard y cant use hav a big convention on warcraft in australia plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
sydney that is
I really Hope they do make warcraft 4 Warcraft 3 was a brilliant game I still play it. if they don’t make a Warcraft 4 it would be fekkin huge let down I was really upset when WOW came out I thought that would put an end to any chance or warcraft 4. So Blizzard plzzzzzz make Warcraft 4.
I really don’t see any possibility for a Warcraft IV, sorry guys, but it’s true. They said that it’d be something that would be discussed, but it’d face a hard uphill climb in order to come to fruition.
If you’ve ever played WoW you’d know that the races have moved beyond their petty squabbles (for the most part) and really aren’t interested in fighting amongst themselves any more, their most powerful heroes most commonly fight under the same banner (like the Argent Crusade in Northrend) especially when there are bigger enemies out there to concentrate on.
The decision for Blizzard, as to whether or not to create a WC4, would be based on the feasibility of continuing their main moneymaker, The World of Warcraft, after the release of a WC4 rts. They could continue the WoW mmorpg with WoW2… but that runs the risk of destroying their active multimillion person player base when they learn that everything they’ve ever done in WoW is completely meaningless in this new WoW2. Most players would probably get so pissed that they’d simply stop playing and wouldn’t pick up WoW2
All hope is not lost, however, they could always offer free “transfers” (a basic copy & paste) of a player’s WoW character into the “post-WC4″ WoW2 world… to what point? Just to represent the added lore and the (ingame) regional changes as a result of WC4? If they DO go the WC4 route, the easiest thing to would be to continue WoW as it is, put in place a world events, through patches, where you (as a WoW player) get to replicate the overall campaign as it would unfold in WC4. In that way, “old Azeroth” (the level 1 – 60 “starting area” often called WoW vanilla) is reshaped to reflect a post-WC4 rts world with new (level appropriate) quests in the old zones, new buildings/forts/etc to show the development in those areas as well as the desolation to the terrain that was caused by the war in WC4.
That would be the only feasible way for Blizzard to continue the ever changing multibillion dollar a year industry that is the World of Warcraft while still allowing for the production of a single new rts set within that world. But think of the cost! Thousands of manhours spent developing the story of WC4, untold thousands more spent developing how to integrate that story into the existing WoW in order not to alienate (not to mention pique the interest of) existing WoW players, and then all the nose-to-the-grindstone work involved in implementing all the needed patches to take WoW through the linear process of whatever would happen in the proposed WC4 and setting up the new level appropriate quests for the redesigned zones! The cost would no doubt rival, if not exceed, whatever modest amount of money they could hope to gain from releasing a WC4 rts.
In the end, there’s no realistic hope that they’d ever go through such an investment just to satisfy the few who still cling to the hope of a WC4 rts. The changes to what they’ve already created would be too much. As additional evidence that Blizzard knows exactly what it would be getting into just take a look at this article, http://www.wow.com/2006/11/13/why-azeroth-is-a-no-flying-mount-zone/, explaining what all would be involved in making flying mounts operational in the 1 – 60 Azeroth.
Telling you folks, it’ll never happen.
I agree whith Aulvin. But i think that Warcraft IV should be a parallel game of WOW’s events in a RTS mode. It would expand the market to people who doesn’t like mmorpg games, and peolple who doesn’t like rts games keep playing WOW. And there will be a lot that will keep playing both games, even at the same time

LOL they wont make a WoW2 so far WoW has 3 expansion packs they will just add more
“LOL they wont make a WoW2 so far WoW has 3 expansion packs they will just add more”
Exactly, they have 3 EXPANSIONS. Expansions, get this… expand the game! They don’t completely rewrite it, which means they are nothing like a WoW2. Even with the release of Cataclysm, which reshapes the (level 1 – 60) world AND allows for flying in Azeroth (things I said would probably never happen) doesn’t completely rewrite all of WoW, the same lore is in place, there’s just been the passage of time and a catastrophic event that alters the (level 1 – 60) world. There is still an Outland, it is still the same content and storyline there, the same applies to Northrend, and the same game mechanics are applied to the new Azeroth zones as are currently involved in all the other zones. As long as there is the feasibility of expanding the currently running WoW story there will be no WoW2.
That said, there is a faint, infinitesimal hope for a WC4rts… but only if Blizzard could be convenced that it would be a benefit to a WoW storyline. My thoughts: a WC4 rts that’s based on either another chunk of Outland (currently being anchored to, or adjacent to, the large chunk we all know and love) or some other planetary body (and yes, that is Lore complient). That way the events in this WC4 rts will provide the blueprint for a future WoW expansion. That was basically what happened with Warcraft: Beyond the Dark Portal, the rts turned into The Burning Crusade. With such an idea, the WC4 community wins, the WoW community wins, and (more importantly) Blizzard wins… TWICE!
Now that I’ve given you this idea, it’s your job to sell it. If you’re serious about wanting a WC4 rts, you have your marching orders. Get to it or whine in your basements.

whoever has played blizzard games with their histories written by Chris Metzen certainly knows that mr. Metzen loves story twists and doesn’t really care to make them too coherent with the current story… just as it is not certain that there will be a Warcraft IV, it is also not certain that there won’t be a Warcraft IV…
I think WARCRAFT3 is better than call of duty 2,4,5 and RED ALERT 3 its just not the game for me… I just like more games that have to do somethnig with the past…….if U now what I mean… the knights and swords….and what I would like the most abaut WARCRAFT 4 is that there would be new heroes and that means more fun….
I love Diablo, I want to play Diablo 3, but a Warcraft game with Diablo 3 graphics would be godly!
assas
Hurrah! WC4
Wow is this for real lol
yea, WC4, release date october 10 20999 som ppl is still w8ting, Cataclysm, the Wow Movie, Diablo 3,etc. they should focus in 1(ONE) single proyect this is fking retarded som ppl doesnt wanna w8 10 years for a game, im w8ting the movie since 2007… F U Blizzard. u cant do 5 things at same time, well u can, but it takes ages.
Warcraft 4 is awesome game and the graphics of this game is very unique and creativity. Its just feel that your playing real.
Aluvin. youre dead wrong. blizzard stated that if they make(now when) wc4 it will disreguard WoW. sorry.
HURRAH FOR WC$
mai intai vad si dupa spun
although i know that warcraft 4 may not release it would be a good idea to do for campaign the war against the lich king and the return of deathwing ty for your time
warcraft 3 is already awesome. Ive been playing for 2 years. and in no way am i bored. i still like starting the campaign over again every once in awhile. There are much more warcraft fans then Starcraft fans, so if they were to make warcraft 4 better than starcraft 2 looks, starcraft would seem like it doesnt exist. even loyal starcraft, diablo, and WoW fans will be playing it.
